Thaxted Rangers FC Club Chairman Martin Tritton attended an awards ceremony at Uttlesford District Council where he received a Community Achievement Award for his "outstanding work for Service to Children and Young People within the District of Uttlesford."
Martin has been involved at Thaxted Rangers for over 40 years, first as a player, then as a coach and currently as Chairman, having spearheaded the revival of youth football in Thaxted.
He was specifically praised for his efforts to establish access to football for girls in the area, and attended with his Mum Pearl, who will be very familiar to our girls' team!
Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Martin and celebrate this amazing achievement.
