Thaxted Rangers are a community based football club that serves the town of Thaxted, Essex, and the surrounding villages.
With teams ranging from Under 7's upwards, we aim to offer fun, inclusive and affordable football for all. We strongly believe in putting the emphasis on player and coach development, and we pride ourselves in being a welcoming club for players, coaches, parents, spectators and match officials.
We also have two successful Senior Men's teams who provide a pathway for our youth players to continue their football journey.
We are proud to be an England Football Accredited club.

Adult football in Thaxted has been a staple diet since the 1940's, however in its present form, Thaxted Rangers Football Club was established in 1998 by a group of local enthusiasts led by Mick Potter, incorporating youth football provision for the community.
In late 2018, the club faced challenges in maintaining its youth program, with participation dwindling to a single team. A resurgence began when a group of parents approached club Chair Martin Tritton to form a new team for their children. This initiative revitalised the youth section, leading to significant growth and renewed community involvement.
The club now boasts 10 youth teams and two senior teams approaching almost 200 playing members with support of a team of over 45 volunteers. The club continue to grow year on year.
